Community Care Training
EDM number 567 in 1994-95, proposed by Jimmy Dunnachie on 08/02/1995.
That this House recognises the need to offer training to front-line workers employed in social work and housing departments so that an integrated, planned approach to the provision of community care may be given; and to this end calls on Her Majesty's Government to release immediate dedicated funds to local authorities to enable them to embark on this type of cross-sectoral training at the earliest possible date so that benefits to those in receipt of community care can be maximised.
