Youth Information Service
EDM number 53 in 1994-95, proposed by Ieuan Wyn Jones on 17/11/1994.
That this House notes that Youth Work Week takes place between 20th and 27th November 1994; records its concern that the future of the Youth Information Service may suffer as a result of local government reorganisation in Wales; notes in particular that the local council changes may affect adversely the resources on which the service depends to such an extent that it would no longer be able to provide an effective information and counselling service; urges the Government to ensure that this universal right to such a service is upheld in accordance with the European Youth Information Charter; and calls for the promotion and development of the Youth Information Service for all young people without exception.
This motion has been signed by a total of 9 MPs.
