First Aid Training In School

EDM number 517 in 1994-95, proposed by Greville Janner on 31/01/1995.

That this House recognises the importance of provision of first aid in schools; condemns the lack of suitable health and safety and first aid facilities in schools and appropriate first aid training for teachers; and calls on the Government to introduce legislation requiring schools to ensure that teachers are first aid trained and to increase funding to schools to allow them to properly do this.
