Lyons Instant Coffee Factory, Greenford, And Kraft, Jacob Suchard

That this House notes with deep concern the decision of Kraft Jacobs Suchard to close the Lyons Instant Coffee factory in OldField Lane North, Greenford, which they acquired only a few months ago; believes this to be blatant asset-stripping; notes that this decision will cause 280 redundancies; and calls upon the company to reconsider this proposed closure but, in any case, to guarantee full and generous redundancy payments and payments to all staff concerned bearing in mind their loyal and efficient service in the event of the closure going ahead.
