That this House congratulates the BBC Radio 4 programme 'Face the Facts' on its examination of the continuing misery of thousands of elderly householders, victims of the home income plan scandal; reiterates the concern of hundreds of honourable Members that the regulatory authorities have been so ineffective in securing redress for these victims; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to take immediate action to accelerate a solution by, for example, insisting on the full publication of the report to the Securities and Investment Board on the role of the West Bromwich Building Society and on a speedy and comprehensive compensation scheme.
