Pay Negotiation Rights In The Health Service In Northern Ireland
EDM number 330 in 1994-95, proposed by Eddie McGrady on 10/01/1995.
That this House is totally opposed to the abolition of the joint negotiating machinery in Northern Ireland for employees of health and personal social services boards and trusts and its replacement by a regional pay secretariat in April 1995 as it will remove the right of trade union representatives as interpreters and negotiators of Whiteley Council Agreements; and calls upon the Government to ensure that parity exists between Northern Ireland and Great Britain where such negotiating machinery has been retained.
This motion has been signed by a total of 42 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
