Racism In The FA Premier Division

EDM number 314 in 1994-95, proposed by Terry Lewis on 19/12/1994.

That this House urges the Football Association to conduct an inquiry into allegations that Paul Ince of Manchester United was subjected to racial abuse from a fellow professional during the recent fixture between Manchester United and Nottingham Forest; believes that racial abuse from spectators will not be eradicted so long as players indulge in such odious behaviour; and therefore calls upon the clubs and the football authorities to punish severely any proven perpetrator from the professional ranks.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs.
