That this House rejects absolutely the cynical declaration by the Chairman of the Conservative Party, when justifying packing quangos with Tory members and sympathisers, that socialists are unwilling to do voluntary work and would remind him that in the case of the largest quango, namely the NHS, Tory freeloading non-executive directors have, since 1989, backpocketed emoluments in excess of ú30 million per annum whereas thousands of socialist health service committee members prior to 1989 had for over 40 years willingly given their services to the NHS without payment whilst providing no less efficient management.
