Blood Transfusion Centre, Lancaster
EDM number 258 in 1994-95, proposed by Gwyneth Dunwoody on 13/12/1994.
That this House is appalled to note the amount of money already spent in seeking to rearrange the highly efficient Blood Transfusion Service, for example spending ú1,257,000 on reviews of information technology, identity and communications, and new standard operating procedures; further notes that these sums have not been used for the benefit of blood donors or recipients but only in seeking to foist a totally unwarranted change upon a workforce who are totally opposed, and is convinced that the closure of the Lancaster Centre would have disastrous effects upon patients and hospitals in the North West.
This motion has been signed by a total of 29 MPs.
