VAT On Domestic Fuel
EDM number 210 in 1994-95, proposed by Diana Maddock on 07/12/1994.
That this House congratulates more than 2,000 signatories to the No More VAT on Fuel petition from Sheffield, Rotherham, Chesterfield and Bradford for their part in halting the increase in VAT on domestic fuel; further congratulates Liberal Democrats across the country for leading successful local opposition to the Government's unfair policy; and calls on the Government in future fully to consult both Parliament and the country before trying to push such iniquitous tax policies through this House, without considering their impact on the most vulnerable members of our society.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
