Television Advertising Of Toys

EDM number 208 in 1994-95, proposed by Jimmy Dunnachie on 07/12/1994.

That this House recognises the financial plight of families on low incomes; and consequently seeks a ban on the advertising of sophisticated ultra-expensive toys on television in the four-week period leading up to Christmas, as children influenced by the glamorous advertising feel deprived if their parents cannot afford these luxuries.

This motion has been signed by a total of 28 MPs.
