Conduct Of The Honourable Member For North Tayside And J.m.barrie

EDM number 170 in 1994-95, proposed by Andrew Welsh on 01/12/1994.

That this House notes that the honourable Member for North Tayside declined to act as a sponsor for the exhibition of the paintings given to Angus District Council in celebration of J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan and that he has never set foot over the threshold of Angus District Council Headquarters, County Buildings in Forfar; congratulates BT on his thoughtful gift of the paintings and in arranging an exhibition of these paintings in the Palace of Westminster; thanks the artist Edmund Caswell, both for his Peter Pan mural at The Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London and for his illustrated paintings now gifted to Angus District Council and notes that Mr Caswell is resident within the constituency of the honourable Member for Angus East; and notes that British Telecom acted fairly in inviting both honourable Members representing the District of Angus to co-sponsor this Angus event in the House of Commons.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
