North West Federation For Sport, Recreation And Conservation
EDM number 165 in 1994-95, proposed by David Alton on 30/11/1994.
That this House notes the concerns expressed by the North West Federation for Sport, Recreation and Conservation concerning proposals in Sport For The 21st Century; urges the Government to clarify how consultation will proceed; rejects any approach which causes the Sports Council to retreat from mass participation sports, informal recreation, leisure pursuits or health promotion; and congratulates the voluntary sector on the magnificent contribution which it makes and which should not be jeopardised.
