Abdul Onibiyo And Family

EDM number 1579 in 1994-95, proposed by Jeremy Corbyn on 02/11/1995.

That this House is appalled that Abdul Onibiyo was deported from Britain to Nigeria and that since then no contact has been made with him by his friends or family; requests that the Home Secretary lifts the deportation orders on other members of his family and allows Abdul to return to Britain; further requests that the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary instruct the High Commission in Lagos to ensure the safety of Abdul; and commends UNISON for its steadfast support for its members facing unjust action under immigration law. (Relevant registered interest declared).

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
