Daily Mirror And Downing Street

That this House condemns the irresponsible antics of the Daily Mirror in setting up a course of events which allowed them to concoct a story about a breach of security in Downing Street; believes that their conduct falls below the standards expected of a national newspaper, even the Daily Mirror; calls upon the new editor of the Daily Mirror to apologise forthwith; and demands that the Right honourable Member for Sedgefield, the Leader of the Opposition, repudiate this irresponsible stunt.
