Eco-Schools Award And Lunnasting Primary School

EDM number 1574 in 1994-95, proposed by James Wallace on 02/11/1995.

That this House wishes to congratulate Lunnasting Primary School, Shetland, on becoming the first school in Scotland to receive the Eco-School Award in recognition of the achievement of staff and pupils in meeting targets for the Schools Environmental Performance and for developing a school environmental code to help maintain the improvements; and further believes that these young people have set a worthwhile example to the community at large, and not least the adult population, in identifying goals for improving their environment and subsequently achieving these goals.
