Rail Programme: Back To The Future

EDM number 1572 in 1994-95, proposed by Paul Tyler on 02/11/1995.

That this House congratulates BBC TV South for its programme, Southern Eye: Back to the Future, broadcast on Thursday 2nd November 1995, which showed how the damage that is being caused by rail privatisation will have a catastrophic effect on rail services, particularly in Dorset, Hampshire, Sussex, Wiltshire and Surrey; urges Her Majesty's Government to abandon further fragmentation of the nation's rail network; and calls upon the Labour Party to support the Liberal Democrat unequivocal commitment to maintain Railtrack in public hands.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
