YOUNG PEOPLE'S BENEFITS

That this House welcomes the publication of the report, Beg, Steal or Borrow by the Nottingham Young People's Benefit Campaign; welcomes its conclusions, namely that income support should be restored for unemployed 16 and 17 year olds, that age related benefits for under 25 year olds should be abolished, that high quality training with realistic allowances should be available and that there should be increased employment and housing opportunities for young people; and calls upon Government Ministers to take the necessary steps to promote the well-being of young people both in Nottinghamshire and across the country.
