QUEEN'S UNIVERSITY AIR SQUADRON

EDM number 1452 in 1994-95, proposed by Roy Beggs on 16/10/1995.

That this House calls upon Her Majesty's Government to retain the Queen's University Air Squadron in recognition of the potential for increase in student establishment numbers which will result from the changed security situation in Northern Ireland and an overt recruiting campaign in September 1995; notes that the Queen's University Air Squadron has the support of Air Officer Commanding Commandant, Director from HQ University Air Squadrons at RAF Cranwell and the Senior Royal Air Force Officer Northern Ireland; that Queen's University Air Squadron has cross-community participation in which students of all persuasions meet and work harmoniously; and, in the interests of fair play and justice, urges Her Majesty's Government to rescind forthwith the proposal to close Queen's University Air Squadron to afford equality of opportunity to all regions within the United Kingdom.

This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
