Glasshouse Programme On Drug Abuse

EDM number 138 in 1994-95, proposed by Alan Meale on 28/11/1994.

That this House was alarmed to learn from the Channel 4, Cutting Edge documentary, The Glasshouse, screened on 28 November, that some British armed forces personnel are deliberately using drugs such as marijuana in order to be dismissed early from their respective services contracts; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to order a full inquiry into the level of drug taking and the availability of illegal substances amongst Her Majesty's serving forces and in the interim to take steps to close the present loophole.

This motion has been signed by a total of 30 MPs.
