BBC Coverage Of UK By-Elections

EDM number 1256 in 1994-95, proposed by James Molyneaux on 15/06/1995.

That this House regrets the inconsistent policy of the British Broadcasting Corporation with regard to United Kingdom parliamentary by-elections, demonstrated by the full television coverage of the counts and results of utterly predictable by-elections in Wales and Scotland, and the absence of such coverage of the intrinsically more interesting by election in North Down; and regrets the failure of the Northern Ireland Governor of the BBC, Sir Kenneth Bloomfield to uphold the interests of that part of the United Kingdom.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
