That this House notes the widespread dissemination of pirate video material, including videos which show real murders and torture and which are often widely distributed in school playgrounds; further notes the failure to enforce the Criminal Justice Act and Public Order Act 1994 in relation to video shop retailers who hire out or sell videos to under-age children; and calls for more effective action including the establishment of a small national unit within the police force to deal with these matters.
