Tgwu Election
EDM number 1189 in 1994-95, proposed by Peter Bottomley on 31/05/1995.
That this House welcomes free and fair elections for union leaders; has read many reports that the Leader of the Labour Party desires the defeat of Bill Morris; invites the Labour leader or one of his five press agents to confirm or to deny on the record that he wants Jack Dromey in office; and further asks Mr Dromey to say whether the reference in his election statement to 'a second class political party' is supposed to describe the TGWU or the Labour Party. (Relevant registered interest declared).
