Loss Leading By Supermarkets

EDM number 1117 in 1994-95, proposed by Frank Field on 15/05/1995.

That this House calls for a full investigation by the Office of Fair Trading into the continued loss leading of products such as bread by supermarkets; and further calls for a review of competition laws in the United Kingdom to outlaw the permanent loss leading of any product other than on a rotating basis.
