Hull University And The Proposed National Centre Of Surface Engineering

That this House congratulates Hull University and its Research Centre in Surface Engineering in winning the tender to establish and operate the National Centre of Surface Engineering at Hull University; considers the award of a proper recognition of the Hull Centre's international reputation as a pioneering centre of excellence in this increasingly important field of research and applied technology; salutes all those whose work over the years has resulted in this national recognition of their achievements; and looks forward with confidence to its ever incresing co-operation with industry to add to the expansion of knowledge and the application of new technologies for the benefit of all in the forthcoming millennium.
