Northern Ireland Constituencies Boundary Commission

That this House notes the parliamentary proposals of the Northern Ireland Boundary Commission for the 17 constituencies in Northern Ireland; deplores the interference by the Government of the Republic of Ireland to influence these proposals; and calls upon the Local Government Auditor to investigate the decision by Down District Council to use ratepayers' funds to present a case against the Boundary Commission proposals even though 44 per cent. of the members of Down District Council do not oppose these preliminary proposals.
