British Gas Leicester Close Down

That this House deplores the decision of British Gas to close its Leicester headquarters, causing up to 2,000 jobs losses; and calls on this privatised industry to revise its priorities so as to resume its role as a public service, to place far more value on the jobs of its employees and not to take any decision which involves heavy loss of jobs on the sole basis of profits to shareholders.
