That this House congratulates George Parker, political correspondent of the Western Morning News, on his promotion to Political Editor; believes that this is entirely due to the consistent, imaginative and scrupulously impartial way in which he reports the activities of this place and the policies of the political parties represented here; and believes that this promotion represents a vote of confidence in his coverage of issues such as the uniquely burdensome level of water bills in the South West, the lack of Government investment in transport infrastructure in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset, the high level of council tax being levied by Conservative councils in the area and the Western Morning News's campaign for a fair deal for the people of the area the paper serves.
