That this House notes the recent theatrical production, East, written by Steven Berkoff and performed by the Browning Theatre Workshop in association with the London City Theatre presently performing at the White Bear Public House Theatre in Kennington Park Road; congratulates all members of the company, stage manager, designers and musicians for bringing to the general public productions of excellence at prices they can afford; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to recognise the value of pub theatre by providing much needed financial support to enable new and exciting theatre companies to continue performing for the enjoyment of an appreciative public.
