Monopoly Tax On Water Companies
EDM number 868 in 1993-94, proposed by Ken Purchase on 15/03/1994.
That this House calls on Her Majesty's Government to impose a monopoly tax on the profits of the privatised water companies sufficient to rebate water bills by 25 per cent. for all single person householders, thereby giving a similar discount to that on council tax.
