Honourable Member For Hamilton - Leader Of The Scottish Labour Party

That this House congratulates the honourable Member for Hamilton on his triumphant speech at the Scottish Labour Party conference in Dundee on 12th March; notes that under his leadership Labour now commands a massive lead in the Scottish opinion polls achieved by concentrating his attack on the record of the Tory Government and the effective presentation of Labour policies, which stands in marked contrast to the dismal record of the failed Scottish Nationalists who continued to level their attack on Labour; and agrees wholeheartedly with the honourable Member's assertion in his conference speech that Labour, with the support of the Scottish people, is Scotland's national party.
