Hammersmith Hospital Breast Cancer Treatment
EDM number 804 in 1993-94, proposed by Liz Lynne on 10/03/1994.
That this House expresses its grave concern that heat therapy breast cancer treatment, being pioneered by the clinical hypothermia team at Hammersmith Hospital and funded with ú5 million from the Medical Research Council, is threatened by the Government's plans to merge Hammersmith Hospital with Charing Cross Hospital and would deplore any disruption to the trials which hold out hope of treatment for patients with severe breast cancer tumours that have not responded to other forms of treatment.
This motion has been signed by a total of 36 MPs.
