Scottish National Party Rise In Scottish Polls

That this House notes with interest the Systems Three poll in The Herald of 8th March that puts the Scottish Tories on a figure of 13 per cent.; believes that this poll shows just how offensive most of the Scottish people find the Tories in Scotland with only one in eight Scots supporting them; calls upon the Government to recognise its lack of democratic mandate in Scotland and abandon its plans to gerrymander Scottish local government and appropriate Scotland's water; and further notes that support for the SNP is moving up strongly, with support of a quarter of the electorate, indicating that this shows a further strengthening of support for Scottish independence in Europe.
