EDM number 729 in 1993-94, proposed by Jim Hood on 02/03/1994.

That this House expresses appreciation for the saving of over ú100, 000 in expenditure on fact finding tours by select committees because of non-co-operation preventing such excursions; and urges the House authorities to ensure that this money is retained for travel purposes in order to provide taxis for employees of the House who work past 10 pm, irrespective of the commencement of the adjournment debate, in order to ensure safety of travel late at night for all House of Commons workers but especially women workers.
