Ticc Ltd And The Department Of The Employment

That this House deplores the circumstances in which loyal, often long-serving members of the Civil Service are having their jobs and conditions of service sold to the highest bidder; recognises that after eight years of loyal service to the Department of Employment Mr Tony Roberts of 23 Church Street, Great Harwood, Lancashire, was offered redundancy by his new employer, TICC Skillcentres Ltd., and that following the bankruptcy of TICC in 1991 his right to a pension has been replaced by a right to entitlement to become an unsecured creditor; and calls on the Secretary of State for Employment to honour a moral obligation and recompense those former civil servants affected by the bankruptcy of TICC.
