Conduct Of The Hon. Members For Langbaurgh And Stockton South
EDM number 400 in 1993-94, proposed by Frank Cook on 20/01/1994.
That this House notes without surprise the claims of the honourable Members for Langbaurgh and Stockton South that school teachers in Cleveland are anxious about their professional prospects under district education authorities after the dismantling of the county council structure announced earlier this week; notes too their predictable and long rehearsed propaganda in favour of the option to opt out of the state system and elect for grant-maintained status; cautions them to contain their activities in the confines of their own constituencies in accordance with the time-served, long-proven and universally accepted protocols of the House; and warns honourable Members generally to beware of unwarranted and unjustifiable incursions of this nature upon their parishes.
