Conservation Of Antarctica
EDM number 37 in 1993-94, proposed by Simon Hughes on 18/11/1993.
That this House, mindful of the vital importance for the conservation of Antarctica and to the world as a whole of the measures embodied in the Antarctica Treaty Environmental Protocol signed by the Government in Madrid 1991, and also believing that all should be done to ensure that the United Kingdom retains an influential role in the Atlantic Treaty System, calls upon the Government, as a matter of urgency, to make provision for the ratification of the protocol.
This motion has been signed by a total of 75 MPs.
