Human Rights Violations In Sudan
EDM number 269 in 1993-94, proposed by David Alton on 15/12/1993.
That this House is appalled at the persecution and discrimination against Christians and other religious and racial minorities in Sudan and at the widespread suffering caused by its long-running civil war, effects of which include famine and the indiscriminate bombing of civilians by government forces; and calls upon the Government of Sudan to halt such gross human rights violations immediately and to reach a peaceful settlement to that country's civil war.
