Delco Electronics

EDM number 1629 in 1993-94, proposed by George Howarth on 20/10/1994.

That this House notes with grave concern the decision by Delco Electronics to break the long-standing link with Kirkby by transferring its plant to Neston; further notes that many of the existing employees are lone parents and will not be able to make appropriate child-minding arrangements to enable them to travel to Neston and that others will not have access to transport for travelling to and from the new location; and expresses alarm that this exercise is being used as a cover to weaken the terms and conditions of employees.

This motion has been signed by a total of 28 MPs.
