Conflicts Of Interest On The BBC Broadcasting Council For Wales (No. 2)
EDM number 1572 in 1993-94, proposed by Rhodri Morgan on 21/07/1994.
That this House calls for the publication in full of the minutes of the June 1994 meeting of the BBC Broadcasting Council for Wales to enable the resignation of each and every member of that Council who took part in the attack on the 31st May `Week In Week Out' current affairs programme and who failed to declare an interest in the contents of the programme's investigation into the land assembly deal at Gadlys Road, Aberdare, which is currently the subject of an investigation by the Welsh Development Agency requested by Secretary of State for Wales as announced by him to the House on 7th July, which official investigation would probably not have occurred had the BBC Wales `Week In Week Out' programme not been researched and broadcast; and calls for the report of the KPMG and Grant Thornton investigations likewise to be published in full.
This motion has been signed by a total of 6 MPs.
