Private Practice Within The Nhs
EDM number 1563 in 1993-94, proposed by Maria Fyfe on 20/07/1994.
That this House condemns both the Scottish National Party and the Liberal Democratic Party for their refusal to sponsor an early day motion limiting to 10 per cent. the amount of private practice within the National Health Service; notes that the Scottish National Party informed the National Health Service Support Federation that the level of private practice in the National Health Service was not an important issue in Scotland; condemns this complacency and narrow nationalism that dismisses the health needs of those living in the South, including fellow Scots; and calls on both parties to clarify their policies on private practice within the National Health Service without delay.
This motion has been signed by a total of 9 MPs.
