War Criminals From The Former Yugoslavia
EDM number 1496 in 1993-94, proposed by William Powell on 12/07/1994.
That this House is very concerned at the slow progress in bringing forward criminal prosecutions before the Ad Hoc Tribunal to try war criminals from the former Yugoslavia; has learnt of the Final Report of the Commission of Experts to the Secretary General, established under United Nations Resolution 780, now submitted to the Security Council; has noted the appalling and detailed evidence of war crimes contained in the report; and urges Her Majesty's Government to insist that resolute action is now taken to ensure that those responsible for the most dreadful crimes are brought before the tribunal.
