Syringomyelia
EDM number 1491 in 1993-94, proposed by Barry Sheerman on 12/07/1994.
That this House congratulates the Midland Centre for Neurosurgery and Neurology on its pioneering work, led by Mr Bernard Williams, in the treatment of syringomyelia; calls on Her Majesty's Government to take steps to ensure that the Centre remains at the forefront of the fight against this disease; further calls on the Secretary of State for Health to ensure that the Centre remains in a location that is accessible and convenient to the numerous patients who so value its help; and notes that such a location already exists at the Sandwell Hospital Trust site in West Bromwich.
