Social Workers

That this House congratulates the British Association of Social Workers on its organisation of a successful lobby of Parliament on 15th June; supports their demand for Government action on their proposal for the setting up of a statutory general social work council and the extension of their professional training to three years; and endorses their plan for more informed public understanding of social work.
