REPAIR OF ESCALATOR AT KING'S CROSS
EDM number 1395 in 1993-94, proposed by John Cummings on 27/06/1994.
That this House sympathises with the long suffering users of the Victoria Line at King's Cross where an escalator has been under repair since 16th January and shows no sign of being returned to service despite assurances that the work would take 16 weeks; regrets that the honourable Member for Easington is unable to receive replies to two letters written to the London Underground Authority; and seeks London Underground to complete the work on the escalator forthwith, recognising that such delays on a production line in a manufacturing industry would not be tolerated.
