Drugs Acting On The Skin
EDM number 137 in 1993-94, proposed by Alan Meale on 01/12/1993.
That this House is deeply concerned over the potential damage to patient care which will almost certainly occur because of the inclusion of drugs acting on the skin in the selected list scheme; sees such an action as being extremely harmful to sufferers as it would not improve their care, would cause hardship and inequality of care to less well off patients, would not re-route any NHS finances back into dermatological services and would impair research and development into skin diseases in the United Kingdom; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to change its approach on this matter, which is currently stupid, badly thought out and uncaring.
