That this House believes the penalties imposed upon Tottenham Hotspur FC to be unfair and excessive; considers that if wrong doing has occurred within this, or any other, football club the punishment should fall upon individuals responsible and not on the club itself; further believes that deducting 12 points from Spurs next season and banning the club from the FA Cup is effectively a punishment inflicted upon loyal supporters who were neither party to, nor aware of, any irregularities; and demands that the Minister of Sport intervene in the name of natural justice and the interests of Spurs supporters.
