That this House notes that British Coal Property has to date not responded to a request from a constituent of the honourable Member for Stoke on Trent North to purchase a small plot of land adjoining her home notwithstanding previous oral undertakings that this sale could proceed; notes that the reasons for not responding to his request are that British Coal's Property Division is not in a position to sell 'because its priorities lie with other matters;' and calls on the Chairman of British Coal to ensure that this is now dealt with as a matter of urgency.
