Croxteth Community Comprehensive School (No. 2)

That this House congratulates the parents of the pupils at Croxteth Community Comprehensive School, Liverpool, on decisively rejecting moves to have the school opt out of local authority control; believes their sound commonsense is to be commended; recognises their 59 per cent. vote against opting out to be an answer to those who attempted to bring pressure to bear upon them by raising unsubstantiated fears and false promises; thanks all those, including the Liverpool branch of the National Union of Teachers, who campaigned to keep the school under local democratic control; and wishes the school well in the future.
