Water Charges (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill

That this House welcomes the introduction of the Water Charges (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, which would prohibit the use by water undertakers of rateable value as a basis for charging, from 31st March 1995, and provide for charging householders in accordance with council tax bands where they do not wish to have a water meter; and calls on the Government to facilitate its passage as a matter of urgency.
